This West Coast serpentine niho pendant is carved from stone sourced along the rugged West Coast, shaped and softened naturally over time by the ocean before being worked into form. It has a calm, earthy presence, with subtle variations in green and bluish tones and the natural character you expect from ocean-tumbled serpentine.

The niho (tooth) shape is traditionally associated with strength, resilience, and protection. It represents courage and the ability to stand firm, often seen as a symbol of determination and personal power.

Five holes along the top are neatly bound with a brown cord, adding detail and a practical, secure finish. The circular cut-outs along the side of the pendant add contrast to the solid form and gives the design a distinctive edge.

West Coast serpentine is known for its natural variation in colour and pattern, formed over millions of years through intense geological processes. Its softer structure makes it well-suited to carving, allowing for clean shapes while still retaining a natural, organic feel.
